Hours
Canlis is open for dinner only. Monday through Friday 5:30pm to close and Saturdays from 5pm to close. We are closed Sundays, except in December.
Attire
Canlis is a dressy, fine dining restaurant. Men will feel comfortable in a suit or sport coat -- though we strongly encourage them, they are not required for most areas of the dining room. Casual attire (jeans, short sleeve shirts, casual foot wear) is not appropriate. At Canlis, you cannot be overdressed.
FROM I-5
Take the Mercer Street Exit #167. (Note: heading northbound on I-5, the Mercer St. Exit #167 exits from the left hand freeway lane.) As you exit, stay left and turn left at the light onto Fairview. You will be headed away from Lake Union. Go two blocks and turn right onto Harrison. Stay on Harrison until it ends at Aurora. You'll be forced to turn right onto Aurora (Highway 99). Check your odometer. After 1 mile, you'll see a giant construction project on the right for Domain condominiums. Then, 100 yards past the construction, you'll see, in rapid succession, Halladay St, then our subtle sign, then our driveway. The valets will park your car.
FROM DOWNTOWN
Get onto 6th Avenue (one way going North). Take a slight right at the stop light onto Battery Street (Pink Elephant Car Wash on your right). Stay on Battery as it crosses Denny and automatically feeds onto Aurora Ave. From that point Canlis is about 1.5 miles north, on the right hand side (just after a major construction project). If you cross the bridge you've gone too far!
SOUTH ON AURORA
As you go over the Aurora Bridge stay in the right hand lane. At the very end of the bridge take a sharp right hand turn (known as the Queen Anne U-Turn). Keep making sharp right hand turns until you are on Aurora again going Northbound. Turn right into our driveway off Aurora North.
Note: If you overshoot and go across the Aurora Bridge, just take the first right at the end of the bridge, bend around left under Aurora, and get back on Aurora going South. Then follow the "South on Aurora" directions.
